Universal I/O
Bulletin 1771 Universal I/O provides a full range of digital, analog, and specialty I/O for a wide variety of applications. Use Universal I/O modules in a local I/O chassis of a PLC-5® system. Or, use an I/O communication adapter module to place I/O in a chassis at a location remote from the controller.
Features
- Up to 32 I/O per module
- 512 through 3072 maximum forcible I/O in any mix
- Up to 50,176 maximum non-forcible I/O
- Mechanical keying of the module to the backplane connector
- Optical coupling and filter circuitry for signal noise reduction
- External connections are terminated at a removable wiring arm
- Some modules require remote termination panels (RTPs) for I/O connections
